Nightlife: Chronicles of Less Urban Living (Idaho; 5 acres; small-scale organic farming)

I recently recommended NightLife: Chronicles of Less Urban Living and I have had an email from Tamara with a bit more info.

Yukon Golds

Tamara and her partner have 8 horses (7 are part of a restoration project for the rare Barb horse), 2 sheep (Suffolk/Rambouillet) and 15 chickens (Black Australorps, Rhode Island Reds, White Leghorns, Aracaunas, and a White Crested Polish).
They're part-time, small-scale organic farmers with real jobs in 'The Shop' (what I call anywhere outside the countryside). They have a five acre holding in Idaho, U.S.A.

As for crops they produce entirely organically raised, heirloom varieties: Summer and winter squash, tomatoes, melons, peas, beans, corn, potatoes, raspberries, chichiquilite huckleberry, rhubarb, culinary herbs, and miscellaneous other vegetables in smaller quantities.

The blog isn't all about recipes, by any means, but it has some great ones, and I do like bloggers who make the connection between the produce they grow and the food they prepare.
